 Capital International, Inc. (CII) is the investment manager for the Capital International Private Equity Funds (CIPEF). CII's private equity investing program dates back to 1992. Our private equity team has invested over $2.4 billion in 72 investments across 25 countries and 34 sectors. CII's entry into emerging markets private equity investing was a natural extension of CII's leading presence as a global emerging markets investment manager. As of December 30, 2009, CII had over $26 billion in emerging markets assets under management and over 20 years of emerging markets investing experience. CII is a subsidiary of Capital Group International, Inc. (CGII), which had over $141 billion in assets under management as December 31, 2009. Our dedicated private equity team consists of 19 investment professionals. These individuals are a part of CII, which has over 90 global country, industry and macroeconomic research professionals, including an emerging markets team of 22 research analysts as of December 31, 2009. On average, members of our private equity team have 18 years' investment experience and members of the CIPEF Investment Committee have over 32 years of investment experience. |
